Photo Project # 101: Create old-fashioned photos using Sepia-tone !

The muted brown tones of sepia can invoke that old-fashioned, nostalgic mood in any print black-n-white or color.  Sepia toned images are very popular for weddings and for making your photos have that old fashioned look.  You can turn your digital photo into sepia-tone in many ways:  #1. Using your computer and Adobe photo shop software you can convert or edit the digital image to sepia tone.

#2. You can use an online photo editing tool to change the “effect” to a brown color tone or sepia tone and print the images in a variety of sizes from 4 x 6 to 16 x 20.  Get started by creating your free account to upload and edit your photos using Shutterfly tools now!

Once you have converted 14 of your favorite images to sepia-tone now they all have the same consistent tone.   To enjoy the brown tone, you can make a wall gallery of a variety of 14 family size sepia-toned photos using your digital prints from 4 x 6, 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 of family and friends.  Use a wooden rod to hang the photos in 4 different rows using ribbon to hang 3 photos or 4 photos in each row.  By adding just a single cream white mat around each photo and allowing each photo to hang from a ribbon would create a Great conversation piece for family gatherings and a fantastic way to display those photos as an old-fashioned art piece.   Now that’s a creation worth remembering for many years to come!
